Scheeser Buckley Mayfield Staff
SBM is comprised of 35 individuals in our Uniontown and Columbus office. Twenty-two (22) mechanical and electrical engineers, fifteen (15) of which hold their Professional Engineering license in the State of Ohio and surrounding states, and eleven (11) which are LEED Certified Professionals.
SBM also has a staff of one (1) mechanical designer, one (1) field representative, six (6) drafting personnel and four (4) administrative personnel.
Scheeser Buckley Mayfield is structured such that a Principal is actively involved in each project. Each Principal has a staff of engineers to assist with projects and also has the help of the technical support staff in the office.

JAMES E. ECKMAN, PE, LEED AP, LC, CBCP

Mr. Eckman attended The University of Akron where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1984.
Mr. Eckman accepted a position of Senior Engineer with Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC in 1989. Mr. Eckman was promoted to the position of Associate in 1990, became a Principal in the firm in 1991 and Vice President of Electrical Engineering in 1992, and President in 2003.
Mr. Eckman was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for eight years and is currently an active member of the Electrical League of Northeastern Ohio and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Mr. Eckman has served as Treasurer and President of the Cleveland/Akron IES section and a member of the Executive Committee for the Electrical League. Mr. Eckman served on the College of Engineering Advancement Council for The University of Akron from 2002 to 2004 and is currently serving as Secretary of The University of Akron Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering Advisory Council as Vice Chairman.
Jim is a LEED v2 Accredited Professional and is registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Indiana.
In 2005, Jim received his Lighting Certification (LC) from the National Council on Qualifications for Lighting Professionals (NCQLP).
In 2009, Jim received his Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) administered by the AEE (Association of Energy Engineers).

Mike is a graduate of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1981 and later that year joined the consulting firm of Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC which was then known as Scheeser*Buckley*Keyser.
Since the mid 1980’s Mike’s project experience has been concentrated in the following areas:
- Large hospital Expansion and remodeling projects.
- Hospital Boiler Plant / Chiller Plant replacement projects.
- University Laboratory projects, both new construction and renovation.
- University Classroom Facilities
- University Dormitory Facilities
- Animal research facilities.
- Secondary education facilities.
- Industrial facilities.
- Telephone / Communications buildings
- Recreation/Athletic Fitness Centers
- Worship Centers
On all of the above facility types, Mike has acted as the Principal in Charge for the firm. The Principal in Charge (PIC) is the single point of contact and is responsible to make sure the project gets done on time and on budget.
Mike is a LEEDTM 2.0 Accredited Professional and a member of ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA and BOCA. In 2009, Mike received his Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) administered by the AEE (Association of Energy Engineers).
JAMES P. KULICK, PE, LEED AP, CBCP

Mr. Kulick is a graduate of The University of Akron, Ohio where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.
Mr. Kulick joined the consulting firm of Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC, in 1983. Since 1983, Mr. Kulick has developed from Designer to Project Manager, and further to the position of Principal with the firm. He has participated in and managed the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Jim has received design awards, one of which was the “Hospital Renovation Project of the Year” from Energy User’s News magazine, for his chilled water system design at Summa Health Systems, Akron City Hospital facility.
Jim is a LEEDTM 2.0 Accredited Professional and registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio, Florida, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
In 2009, Jim received his Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) administered by the AEE (Association of Energy Engineers).
KEVIN M. NOBLE, P.E., LEED AP

Mr. Noble attended the University of Akron where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1987 and continued his education through night school to receive his Masters of Business Administration from Averett College in 1991.
Mr. Noble joined Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC in early 1995 to start the Civil department. Since that time he has participated and managed the design of numerous private and public civil and plumbing projects, including prisons, healthcare, utility companies, universities, municipalities, churches, schools and Federal Government. He attends local and national plumbing and civil conventions and seminars to stay in tune with current developing technologies.
Kevin is registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia.
MARLON C. HATHAWAY, P.E., LEED AP

Mr. Hathaway attended The University of Akron where, in 1992, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
After graduation, Mr. Hathaway began his career as a consulting engineer with Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC. He has since been involved with all aspects of electrical design including: lighting, power distribution, telecommunications systems, fire alarm systems, video/security systems, nurse call systems and CATV/MATV distribution systems. Mr. Hathaway's responsibilities include both budget and finish electrical construction estimates.
Mr. Hathaway has extensive experience in the design of complex systems such as fire alarm, audio/video, telecommunications (LAN) systems, and CATV/MATV distribution systems. He is currently a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), Cleveland Section and has also served as Treasurer in past years.
Marlon is registered in the State of Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, Pennsylvania and South Carolina as a Professional Engineer.
CHRISTOPHER J. SCHOONOVER, P.E., LEED AP

Mr. Schoonover attended The Pennsylvania State University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering in 1993.
Mr. Schoonover joined Scheeser Buckley Mayfield in 1993 and has served as a design manager and lead mechanical engineer on a wide variety of projects, primarily for health care facilities and universities.
Chris has continued Scheeser Buckley Mayfield's tradition of forging long-term relationships with our clients, and as a result enjoys designing a large variety of smaller support projects for his clients. "From small, single-room modifications to complete floor-by-floor retrofits, Scheeser Buckley Mayfield's success is defined by the quality of our projects, regardless of size."
Chris is registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Feidler attended the Pennsylvania State University where he received his Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree. His major emphasis while pursuing his degree was in HVAC Systems design. Vince joined the consulting firm of Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC in July of 1996, where he has worked since his graduation.
Mr. Feidler has served as lead mechanical engineer on a wide variety of projects, primarily for health care facilities and universities and has extensive experience in all aspects of the design of mechanical systems for buildings, including advanced HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. He also acts as the Principal-In-Charge for his projects within the office, coordinating the design team's efforts to ensure a quality project, with emphasis on design deadlines and construction budgets.
Vince is registered in the State of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky as a Professional Engineer.
JOSHUA J. ROEHM, P.E., LEED AP, ASHRAE HFDP

Joshua attended the Pennsylvania State University where he received his Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree, emphasizing Mechanical System design. He joined the consulting firm of Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC in July of 1996, where he has worked since his graduation.
Joshua has extensive experience in all aspects of the design of mechanical systems for buildings, including advanced HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. He can be involved in the design from the early planning stages up through construction completion, performing all tasks that are required therein. He also acts as the Project Manager for his projects within the office, coordinating the design team's efforts to ensure a quality project, with emphasis on design deadlines and budget.
Joshua is the Principal in Charge for Scheeser Buckley Mayfield's Columbus office.
Joshua is registered in the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer.
CHAD B. MONTGOMERY, P.E., LEED AP

Mr. Montgomery attended the Ohio Northern University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1997.
Mr. Montgomery received his State of Ohio Professional Engineering License in 2002. He became a LEED 2.1 Accredited Design Professional in October of 2006. He is also a full member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He earned his ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional Certification (HFDP) in January of 2008.
Mr. Montgomery joined Scheeser Buckley Mayfield in 1997 and became a Principal in January 2009. Mr. Montgomery directs a design staff on a wide variety of projects, primarily for health care facilities and universities and has extensive experience in all aspects of the design of mechanical systems for buildings, including advanced HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. He also acts as the Project Manager for his projects within the office, coordinating the design team’s efforts to ensure a quality project, with emphasis on design deadlines and construction budgets.
Mr. Montgomery is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.
RONALD R. RADABAUGH, P.E., L.C.

Mr. Radabaugh attended the University of Akron here he received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1996. In 2000, Ron received his Professional Engineering license in the State of Ohio and then in 2001, Ron received his Lighting Certification (LC) from the National Council on Qualifications for Lighting Professionals (NCQLP).
Mr. Radabaugh joined Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC as an electrical engineer in April 2002 and became a Principal in January 2009 and now has a design team he manages. Ron works closely with Owners and Architects to meet project deadlines, provide precise and consistent drawings for contractors and keep the project within the Owner's budget.
Mr. Radabaugh is registered in the State of Ohio and West Virginia.
JOHN A. McDONOUGH, PE, LEED AP

Mr. McDonough attended the University of Akron where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1975.
Mr. McDonough accepted a position as Associate Electrical Engineer with Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC in February 1998. He is responsible for the preparation and design of electrical plans and specifications for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, and outdoor substations. Mr. McDonough is also responsible for the preparation of electrical distribution system studies.
Mr. McDonough is registered in the State of Ohio.
