Construction Cost: $9.3 million
Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC designed the HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the new 35,000 square foot Komodo Kingdom. This building has several different areas including animal exhibits, a full service kitchen, and conference areas. This building was designed and constructed to be a LEEDŽ certified green building via several design elements. One major component is the ground source heat pump HVAC system which was a part of the annual 40% savings in energy costs.
