Scheeser Buckley Mayfield LLC designed the mechanical and electrical systems for the new Student Recreation Center and Fieldhouse at the University of Akron campus. The Student Recreation Center is connected to the existing Ocasek Natatorium facility and is approximately 139,528 square feet. The Recreation Center features two multi-court gymnasiums, an indoor golf facility, natatorium, fitness center, juice bar, indoor track, and support spaces. The Fieldhouse is approximately 155,479 square feet and includes a full size indoor football and track practice facility, varsity weight room, and locker rooms.
